The University of Missouri has given permission to ESPN for the network to televise the 2008 Black & Gold Spring Football Game, on ESPNU, April 19th. Kickoff for the scrimmage has been set for 1 p.m. (central) to accommodate the telecast, after originally being planned for 2 p.m. University of Missouri Head Football Coach Gary Pinkel has been informed by all five of his juniors who submitted their names for consideration to the NFL College Advisory Committee that they will not enter the 2008 NFL Draft, but will remain at Mizzou to play their senior seasons. Those who had sought feedback on their potential draft status included QB Chase Daniel, TE Chase Coffman, FS William Moore, DT Ziggy Hood and DE Stryker Sulak. All five received feedback from the committee, and have chosen to stay at Mizzou in 2008. University of Missouri junior quarterback Chase Daniel (Southlake, Texas) finished fourth in the 2007 Heisman Trophy race, with results announced in tonight's Heisman ceremony held at the Nokia Theater in New York City. Daniel was one of only four finalists invited to attend the ceremony, along with eventual winner Tim Tebow of Florida, runner-up Darren McFadden of Arkansas and Colt Brennan of Hawaii, who finished third.
